>_> I know sounds dumb, but there seems to be a communication issue, because it works for other people but not you. to emulate your xbox360 controller as an xbox 360 controller. You might also try using controller emulation software. It's dangerous to disable all the HID devices because one/two of them are your mouse and keyboard. Is reinstalling windows an option for you? Others are called differently, I dont know if I should completely disable all the deviced under human interface devices. Only 2 of them are the "hid compliant game controller" There are other hid devices under device manager. Once I choose them to change them, and I press anything on the controller nothing happens. Read somewhere that these programmas might make themeselves the main controller "game controller 0", and that once you connect the xbox controller it will default to game controller 1 or 2, etc.ĭark souls will only look at game controller 0.Īnyway, I uninstalled the programs, restarted the computer and still nothing.Īnd no, I cannot change the bindings under controller in the game. What I also did was uninstall any controller emulator programs that I have. So, when I go to devices and printers, there is a wireless reciever, and once i connect by xbox controlelr to the reciever, there also appears an xbox 360 wireless controller on the device list, along with the recieverĪnd yes, I always have the controller connected before I start the game. Tried to look up the driver under my pc(oemf33.inf) with no results.Īnyway, thanks for the help! Hopefully anyone else with this problem will benefit from this posting. The device listed under "monect hid device" is still listed and Im trying to find a way to brute-force remove the bastard from the device list. Finally found one, disabled and unistalled that one (it did say in its source something about monect device)Īnd that did it, curious now to try it without the emulator, but I think ill just keep it safe for now. So I looked through some 10 other hid devices, looking at the events tab to see which other one had been configured/installed on the same day as the monect hid device. Then tried to disable/uninstall the device with device manager.Īlas, the device was not removable or disable-able, the disable box was greyed out. And I remember uninstalling that program, bastards left the device driver, along with the system service on the compuer. Looked it up, and results to be one of those iphone/android to pc controller emulator programs. After looking at the x360ce.ini file, and also during the setup of the controller, I saw that there was this "monect hid device" listed.
